I used to listen to this record every single time when I traveled to Cuernavaca, in a Pullman's bus, to see my beautiful girlfriend. Because the most of times I was delayed and therefore angry and anxious, nothing could calm me down but this album and thinking that I would see her in less than an hour. Gordia, I miss you so.

PONYTEA is the alias of Arturo Castelló, a digital artist based in Monterrey, México. He works on sound architecture and frequencies creating reverb/delayed loops, atmospheres and ambiences which travel between the thin line of minimalism and Drone.
It's hard to define Ponytea's music in a general way, He's one of those morphing artists who really evolves whenever he creates something new. 'Simón de Cirene' is (for us) his Magnum Opus. Arturo looks deep into christianity and of course, into devotional music, creating a whole mystical experience in each track. We're sure that he's not trying to solve his music with defined structures but obviously achieves perfect crescendos for all of its drones that result in unbelievable soundscapes.
Every single sound, every single effect, every single silence matches perfectly as a whole.

Arturo believes firmly that reverb and delay are totally associated with religious and mystical founts since the beginning of times when churches, temples and pyramids where built for mystical adoration.
We have very talented artists in both labels (MYRDAL and Myrdal SoundLAB). I'm saying this because Arturo is brother of PARDO (aka Sergio Castelló), one of Myrdal's artists.
