Born on the East Coast and raised in the Iberian Peninsula and then the West Coast, nowai is an Electronic Dance Music artist who has music spanning across many niches within the genre. His love for EDM began when he was given a mix CD containing Paul van Dyk tracks as a 13 year old. It continued to grow as he was introduced to such artists as Ken Ishii, Jin Hiyama, Calibre, and Marcus Intalex. Every day he seeks new sounds and transforms his style track by track. He considers this his strong point as, in his words, "You'll never get bored since you never know what you're going to get".
