"The air hung thick with the stench of sulfur and damp earth. Rain lashed against the grimy windows of the abandoned church, mirroring the incessant pounding in Elara's chest. She clutched the obsidian amulet, its cold surface a stark contrast to the feverish heat in her blood. The summoning ritual had gone awry, the sigils glowing with an eerie, malevolent light.

A low growl echoed through the decaying nave, and from the swirling shadows emerged a creature unlike any she'd ever seen. Its eyes burned with infernal fire, and its limbs were elongated, contorted into unnatural angles. Panic clawed at Elara's throat, her carefully memorized incantations dissolving into incoherent whispers.

The creature lunged, its skeletal fingers reaching for her. Elara stumbled back, tripping over a crumbling pew. The amulet slipped from her grasp, clattering onto the stone floor. As the creature loomed over her, a twisted grin splitting its face, she realized her mistake. She had summoned something ancient, something hungry, and it would not be easily banished back to the shadows".
