PLEASE USE HEADPHONES.
46,000 feet over the floor, flying on an airplane to Torreón just to see my beautiful girlfriend and my cellphone playing slowly and peaceful down-tempo music. What more could I ask for?
Manfred Chmielewski is the guy behind Halo Svevo, who had been making music since 1991, from Musique Concrète to Ambient. He was made for ambient music, for sure.

While listening to this album one mental image will catch your thoughts: floating up away. Have you ever dreamt of flying over your city having no weight, or fears? That's exactly what you're going to find onto Manfred's music. Every single track makes your mind and body feeling... thin. Do you understand what's the essence of an album entitled 'Weight/Ease' now? Can you feel that vibe?
We're wrong when believing to know how Ambient has to sound like with all of that forced and pretentious arguments for every single piece of sound, because Ambient has not to be complicated, Ambient must be music that doesn't impose itself on your space but create a sort of landscape you could belong to. When you listen to Manfred's album you'll find that it has solid but easy down-tempo structures matching perfectly with haunting delicate ambiences, it's an evolving record, sometimes glitchy but very atmospheric. Quiet and simple.
Halo Svevo needed only 3 tracks on this album to make us falling in love with him. This is the kind of music Brian Eno, Boards of Canada and Sismo would be happy (and proud) to hear.
